Uniform

The following uniform information applies to all students.

Uniform Group are the stockest of our uniform items. Uniform can be purchased from the school uniform shop situated at 2/60 Parton Road, Papamoa or online throughout the year.

Footwear needs to be purchased at retail establishments.

Sandals
Plain black sandals. Must have a heel strap and strap over the top of the ankle. Sandals are not a jandal or a slip on.  The sandals should not contain significant branding or writing.

Sandals must be worn as they were designed. The heel strap must be worn around the heel.

Shoes
Plain black imitation or leather polishable shoes, that are closed in, and either lace up or slip on.  Shoes should not be a sports shoe or boot. Shoes should not contain significant branding or writing.

Shoes must be worn as they were designed.

While it is important that footwear is comfortable and supports the feet, it is intended that footwear is a school shoe and not an item of fashion.  If in doubt, please ask before you purchase footwear.

Hat Cap

The cap must be worn with the peak facing the front.
Hats must be removed when indoors as a courtesy to others.

Hat Wide Brim Hats must be removed when indoors as a courtesy to others.
Scarf / Beanie The beanie will be removed when indoors as a courtesy to others.
School Jacket If a student wishes to wear a jacket in class or at school it must be the uniform jacket.

Additional uniform information
Girls and Boys  
Jewellery Jewellery is acceptable provided it is not offensive and does not provide a safety hazard.   
Cosmetics Nail polish, acrylic nails and makeup is acceptable, provided it does not provide a safety concern or impede learning.
Facial Piercings Facial Piercings are acceptable provided they are not offensive and do not provide a safety hazard. Spacers are not acceptable due to safety concerns.
Hairstyles Hairstyles are to be neat and tidy. Facial hair is acceptable provided it is clean and trimmed. Any hair colour is acceptable. Hairstyles should not pose a safety risk to any other student or staff member. Long hair is expected to be tied back for specific activities.
Stockings Black or navy blue plain stockings
T-Shirt undergarment A plain white short sleeve T-shirt or short white sleeved thermal is permitted for extra warmth. (No other coloured t-shirts permitted)
   
No mufti gear is to be worn to school as it is not part of the approved uniform for Papamoa College.
