Merinda to compete at Youth Olympic Games

Merinda Bramley Y12 student has been selected to represent New Zealand at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, in August. This is a significant achievement for Merinda, and is an amazing opportunity to compete in the international sporting arena. Waterpolo Standout CHAMPIONS

A great result over Queens Birthday weekend with the Papamoa College Junior Waterpolo team taking out the B Grade Challenger Cup for 2014 held in Hamilton. On Saturday they had 2 strong games against good oppostions and Papamoa's strengths in both offence & defence came to the fore. A successful day that resulted in 2 wins and set the tone for the tournament. On sunday they played the first of 4 games at 8.15am and thir last game of the day at 6.45pm. Positive Behaviour for Learning - PB4L Papamoa College has recently embarked on the Positive Behaviour for Learning Programme. The main idea behind the PB4L Programme is that if you want a particular behaviour to occur eg students speaking to each other respectfully, you have to specifically teach them how to do so. Being involved in the programme will benefit individual students, groups of students, and the whole school community.
