Dear Papamoa College Community
It was good news yesterday when we learnt that Auckland would move to Alert Level 2 and the rest of the country moves to Alert Level 1.
For Papamoa College, that means we all go back to business as usual, with the continued empasis on great hygiene practices.
Of course the situation could change anytime but we are ready to respond again if necessary.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding over the last few days.
Regards

Dear Papamoa College Community
Due to the recent community cases of COVID in Auckland, the Prime Minister has indicated that Auckland City is now in Alert Level 3, and the rest of the country is in Alert Level 2.
For Papamoa College it is business as usual, with an emphasis on great hygiene practices and a common sense approach to physical distancing.
Good hygiene practices include:
- Staying at home if sick. If students get sick during the day then they will need to go home.
- Washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Avoiding touching your face.
- Sneezing/coughing into an elbow, or a tissue that is immediately disposed of in a rubbish bin.
- No sharinging of drink bottles by students
Physical distancing is observed when practical on campus
- Maintaning a suitable distance from other people, especially people you dont know.
- 1 metre inside, 2 metres outside where practicable.
- If you can breathe on someone or feel someone else's breath, then move away if possible.
- Respecting other people's personal space.
Scan the COVID QR Code and turn Bluetooth on, when you are out and about.
The Papamoa College campus will operate under Alert Level 2 Protocols and these can be viewed on our website www.papamoacollege.school.nz There is also information regarding students using bus transport, which can also be found on the website.
Student drop offs and pick ups need to be done in such a way that limits contact with others.
Please restrict visits to campus for only essential business and follow the instructions upon arrival. You will be required to sign the contact register at Reception.
Some school activites such as trips off campus, sports events, group events, etc may have limitations placed on them or unfortunately may not run. Please contact the teacher in charge directly should you have any queries regarding specific events.
Remember the best source of accurate information regarding COVID and Alert Levels is the governement COVID website
I will keep you informed by email when we have relevant information to share with you.
We have done this before and we will get through this together.
Regards
Steve Lindsey
