Papamoa College collecting for Kidney Kids

Amy Bennett, a Year 11 student has got behind Kidney Kids NZ and has encouraged Papamoa College to collect Can Tabs and Wine Bottles lids for the Kidney Kids Foundation. The money raised from the recycling of the Aluminium content from the Can Tabs and Wine Bottles goes towards helping children that suffer from Kidney disease. Papamoa College started collecting the Can Tabs and Wine Bottles Lids late last year. So far we have collected approximately 27,000 Can Tabs and 5,000 Wine Bottle Lids. Y7 Whanau Trademark Event

On Tuesday 1 April saw the first Trademark event for Papamoa College in 2014. The year 7 students competed in teams of 4 on the PCT (Physical Competency Test) that every New Zealand Police Officer must pass in order to make it into the Police force. The students were sensational and competed no only to best of their ability but also showed outstanding whanau spirit.
