Board of Trustees

The Papamoa College Board of Trustees is responsible for the governance of the school.  The Board set strategic and annual goals.  The Principal and Senior Leadership Team are responsible for the day to day running of the school.

The Board of Trustees meets on the 3rd Monday of each month (with the exception of the school holidays).  

ERO Report

Papamoa College's first ERO report has now been received and published.

We are very pleased to announce that ERO acknowledges that the school has an effective curriculum that promotes student learning with an empasis on 'learning to learn'. 

The school is well placed to sustain and improve its performance because:

• it is governed by committed, well-led, and experienced trustees who bring a range of knowledge, skills and expertise to the board
• the principal and senior leaders are providing strong and effective strategic leadership for the establishment and ongoing development of the school
• middle leaders contribute knowledeable and experienced leadership of curriculum, learning programmes and initiatives
• the comprehensive pastoral care and learning support systems promote an inclusive school culture and ensure the wellbeing of students
• parents and whanau are kept well informed and are becoming increasingly engaged in the life of the school
• there is a strong and collective focus on raising student achievement, and self review is beginning to be used effectively to reflect on and improve practice.

This report is positive affirmation that the school has effective programmes, resources and structures in place to promote student learning and achievement. There is also acknowledgement and confidence in the school's ability to develop and grow as an organisation.

This report is certainly one that we can be very pleased with.
