2022 Student Leadership Camp
29 June 2022

In the last week of June, an incredible team of 34 Student Leaders headed out on camp. They visited Maungatautari Ecological Island to look at some amazing Environmental Leadership in action.

The visit to the Maungatautari Sanctuary taught the students about the history and role of the Sanctuary, and all about the native plants, fungi and birds that live within the pest-free fence. They got to see Tuatara and Takehe in the wetland area.

The camp was for three days (Monday 27-Wednesday 29 June). They spent time working with Paula from the Waikato Institute of Sports and Leadership, challenging their collaboration and commiunication skills.

Former All Black Nathan Harris also ran some great sessions on developing Leadership skills.

The students represented our school with pride and passion, we look forward to seeing their new skills and amazing ideas in action back at school!
