The 2023 Sports Camp ran from Monday 8 May until Thursday 11 May at Totara Springs. 35 Year 9 and 10 Awa Learning Commons students took part, competing against other schools in a wide range of sports.

There were 12 major sports, including athletics, basketball, volleyball, netball, soccer, hockey, cricket, table tennis and touch rugby. The competition was fierce, but our students showed their grit and determination throughout the week making 11 out of 12 semifinals in the major sports and going on to compete in 8 major sport finals which was a remarkable achievement.

Overall, our students competerd in 30 events and made 22 finals. We are incredibly proud of their outstanding performance, they represented our school with distinction, not only demonstrating their athletic abilities, but also showing great sportsmanship and respect towards their opponents.
